This fourth module focuses on developing a CBDRM plan using a participatory process.
Course Content:
- Introduction to the CBRM planning
- Introduction to Community Based Participatory Planning techniques
- Shared community visioning: obstacles / risk analysis
- Developing strategic action plan
- Actor / stakeholder analysis
- Resource analysis
- Drafting a community action plan
Course outcomes:
At the end of this module, participants will:
- Understand the context, importance and application of participatory practices in developing a CBDRM plan
- Understand and apply the participatory tools and techniques used in community based planning (VOSA
- technique)
- Discuss types of CBDRM planning and the relationship with development planning
- Draft a simple community action plan for DRM
