Application Of A Neural Network Model For Disaster Management In Bangladesh

In this paper a set of models are developed using neural network (NN) technique. It is observed that NN technique can be applied successfully to predict the casualties and damages caused by cyclone. This paper also presents the methodology to use these models for the analysis of the effects of cyclone parameters. The models developed in this study may be used to plan relief and rehabilitation works judiciously to alleviate economic losses caused by cyclone.
