position details successful applicants will undertake an ongoing series of Shelter Centre programme deliverables, in addition to contributing to activities and events, such as the twice yearly Shelter Meeting
skills required experienced professionals with the following skills are encouraged to apply:
  • strong communication skills, writing and editing skills
  • proven ability to work flexibly in a small, innovative and dynamic team
  • ability to work with staff and volunteers
  • project management
  • contract management
  • information management
  • technical expertise in transitional settlements and shelter, town planning, architecture and/or construction would be an asset

position details Geneva summer programme, three month summer programme in collaboration with Engineers Without Borders UK. 2007 summer projects included: revision of the Shelter Module emergency family shelter, drafting of field guidelines on camp planning, both for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), and the development of free-to-use Shelter Training. These were reviewed in Geneva by participants of the twice-yearly Shelter Meeting.
